Determining the recipient of the Maho and Prentice college scholarship is always a challenging decision to make, it is based on academic achievement, community service, and in this year’s case, how an obstacle or setback helped shaped the student’s future.

We would like to congratulate Lyla Krock as the 2019 Maho and Prentice $1,000 Scholarship recipient. Congratulations!! We applaud Ms. Krock on her outstanding scholastic achievement at San Marcos High School and we wish her much success as she heads to University of California, Berkeley in the fall.

We were incredibly impressed by this year’s pool of scholarship applicants. At Maho and Prentice, we believe in making an impact in the lives of young students. As a result of their hard work and determination, we had the pleasure of awarding 3 additional scholarships of $500 to the following deserving students:

  • Ally Mintzer, Dos Pueblos High School, attending University of California, Berkeley
  • Gabriel Arteaga, Bishop Garcia Diego High School, attending Westmont College
  • Taylor Hantgin, San Marcos High School, attending Colorado State University.

Congratulations to the class of 2019!

The next Maho and Prentice 2020 Scholarship opportunity will be announced in April 2020.
