Tyrone J. Maho, Partner

Tyrone J. Maho is a founder/partner of the law offices of Maho Prentice, LLP with offices in Santa Barbara and Oxnard, California. His practice is in the area of civil ligation, particularly focused on representing plaintiffs in personal injury, premises liability, product liability, and general business litigation.

Mr. Maho’s 20 year background also includes many years as primary litigation counsel for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., in all of Central and Southern California, as well as for Home Depot USA, Inc., in five different California counties. Maho & Prentice continues to handles matters throughout Central and Southern California, and has twice been voted the Best Small Law Firm in Santa Barbara by the Santa Barbara Legal Secretaries Association.

Mr. Maho is a member of CAALA, a well-known group of Los Angeles-based personal injury lawyers who excel at the practice of their craft., He is a former member of ABOTA, having tried approximately 50 civil jury trials. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Santa Barbara County Bar Association and was a civil litigation teacher at UCSB Extension for over six years.

Regarding his community involvement, Mr. Maho has served as the President of the U.C. Davis Alumni Association, Gold Coast Chapter. He is particularly proud of being the founder of SPARKLE (Santa Barbara Patriotic Association for the Return of Kabooms to Light the Sky for Everyone), which is a non-profit organization that brought back the annual 4th of July Independence Day fireworks show to the City of Santa Barbara.

Mr. Maho is a founding member of the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Council, a non-profit organization that helps raise money for specialty equipment for law enforcement needs in Santa Barbara County.

Chad Prentice is a founder/partner of the law offices of Maho Prentice, LLP (www.maho-prentice.com), located in Santa Barbara, California. Mr. Prentice is currently an elected board member for the Hope Elementary School District in Santa Barbara, California. He previously served for many years as vice president on the board for Cornerstone House, a non-profit home for developmentally disabled children and young adults. He is active in the community, coaching basketball for the Page Youth Center, and serving two years on the local PTA.
